Elissa Sheinkin has extensive experience in crisis intervention for bereaved children and adults, counseling families suffering from loss or trauma, as well as long-term and short-term illness related to both mental health and medical issues. She specializes in guiding people through major life changes and challenges. Her experience is in both private practice and with Hospice Care Network.
Phone and telehealth sessions provide a chance for you to talk about your situation without leaving the comforts of home. All sessions include a secure environment for private, one-on-one conversations. Elissa is an expert guide who informs and educates her clients so they are empowered to make healthy choices leading to fulfilled lives. She works with individuals and family units to help them achieve their goals and feel at peace.
When we think of loss in our society it is usually in reference to the death of a loved one, however, other major losses can be equally as devastating and result in a grief reaction. Common losses include: divorces, separations or the termination of any relationship, loss of a job, change in health status, change in a living situation, and loss of a pet.
